This article explains how to program both driving and seating modes in Ability Drive. For the mode button to be turned on to access seating, the DLX-REM500 needs to be mounted next to the eye gaze device. Note: the Invacare SP2 chair needs the following components installed in order to use Ability Drive:

First, open LiNX Access.
Select User Preferences
Select Switched Driving
Set Constant Speed Trigger = 5%
Set Veer at low Speed = 15.00
Set Veer at High Speed = 5.02
Set High Speed reference = 35%
Select Modules
Select IN500
Select USER INPUT - CONFIGURATION
Set User Input Configuration = Switches
(This by default is set to sip 'n puff, but must be changed to switches)
Set Ignore Left-Right Opposite Demand = On
Set Delayed Activation for Switched User Input = No delay
Select JACK SOCKET TIP - PORT SETTINGS
Set Input Type = Power Button
(This is where the buddy button is connected to turn the chair off)
Select JACKET SOCKET RING - PORT SETTINGS
Set Input Type = Not Connected
Select INPUT PIN 5 - PORT SETTINGS
Set Input Type = Button
Set Advanced = blank
Set Momentary = blank
Set Short Press = blank
Set Long Press = blank
Set On Press = blank
Select INPUT PIN 6 - PORT SETTINGS

Next, we need to add a function for Ability Drive.

Set Profile Name = ABILITY DRIVE
Set Enable Profile = On
Set Profile User Input = Input Module
Set Enable Menu Scan = Off
Set Enter Navigation Instead of Function Wrap = Off
Set Rest Timer Enabled = Off
Next, create a card for INDOOR Ability Drive.
Select the INDOOR Ability Drive card
Select General
Set Drive Function Name = INDOOR Ability Drive
Set Enable Drive Function = On
Set Function User Input = Input Module
Set Navigation Timeout Enabled = Off
Set Drive Lockout Ignored = Off
Select Forward
Set Max Forward Speed = 15%
Set Min Forward Speed = 15%
Set Forward Acceleration = 20%
Set Forward Deceleration = 50%
(These are guidelines, please adjust to fit your client, chair, and environment)
Select Reverse
Set Max Reverse Speed = 20%
Set Min Reverse Speed = 20%
Set Reverse Acceleration = 20%
Set Reverse Deceleration = 70%

Set Turn Boost at Max Speed = 150%
Set Max Turn Speed = 15%

Select Latched Driving (This is critical and need to be turned off using Ability Drive will not be safe)

Set Latch Driving Demand Ramp-Down Rate = 100%
(This setting is critical and needs to be turned off in order for Ability Drive to operate safely)

Set Forward Quadrant Operation = Forward
Set Reverse Quadrant Operation = Reverse

If applicable Create a card for each of the seating functions you would like the client to access.
Select the Tilt card

Set Input Mode = Left/Right
Set Seating Function Name = Tilt
Set Enable Seating Function = On
Set Function User Input = Profile User Input (Input Module)
Set Navigation Timeout Enabled = Off
Set Invert Seating Function = Off
(Using Tilt as an example, create cards in the same manner for each desired seating function)
Select Axis
