This article introduces the 4 main components of an Ability Drive® system:
1. The App
The Ability Drive® app is available to download from abilitydrive.app.
2. The ADT
The ADT is the Ability Drive® hardware interface. In combination with the app, the ADT connects the compatible eye-gaze device to the power wheelchair and enables the user to drive using only their eyes.
3. A Compatible Eye-gaze Device
Only tested and approved eye-gaze devices are compatible with Ability Drive®.
4. A Compatible Power Wheelchair
Ability Drive® can be installed on a compatible power wheelchair with a 9-pin (DB9) port for alternative controls.
