This article demonstrates how to access and adjust seating of the power-wheelchair using Ability Drive®.
Ability Drive® allows users to access their seating functions through power-wheelchair programming of the mode button. When an ATP configures the power-wheelchair profile for Ability Drive®, they will program the mode button to switch between drive and seat. Activating the virtual mode button within Ability Drive® performs the same action as pressing the physical mode button of the OMNI 2 or Enhanced Display.
Step 1:
First, from the Settings Menu, ensure that Mode Switch is set to On.
Step 2:
Next, go to the app Drive screen and dwell on the Mode Switch button.
Step 3:
When activated, the Mode Switch button will change the power-chair mode from Drive into Seating, displayed on the OMNI 2 Display or Enhanced Display.
Step 4:
The drive arrows in the app will now navigate in the seat functions menu, where users can adjust their seat position.
To return to drive mode, dwell on and activate the Mode button once more.
