This article explains what information is needed for a quote and key considerations for system components.

Quoting Overview

When requesting a quote for an Ability Drive® system, there are 3 key components to consider:

1. The Power Wheelchair

2. The Compatible Eyegaze Device

3. The Mounting System for the Eyegaze Device

Note: The ADT (Ability Drive® Hardware Interface) is not listed because it is ALWAYS required on any system. Unless the client already has an existing ADT, every Tolt quote will include the ADT, cables, and Ability® Drive software.

Where to Start?

Let's start with your client's Power Wheelchair.

Does your client have a Permobil, a Quantum, a Invacare, or something else?

This information is important because the mounting hardware on a Permobil and Quantum are different, and we want to ensure you receive a mount with parts that will work with your client's power wheelchair type.

Have you checked to confirm that your client's power wheelchair is a Compatible Power Wheelchair?

If not, find out here: Compatible Power Wheelchairs.

Where to Next?

We'll need to know if your client already has a Compatible Eyegaze Device.

Does your client have a Tobii I-13, a Grid Pad 13, a Tolt A13J, or something else?

This information is important because only tested and approved eyegaze devices are compatible with Ability Drive®, and if you're quoting a mounting system from Tolt, we want to ensure you receive the correct hardware.

Not sure about your client's device? Check the list here: Compatible Eyegaze Devices.

Tip: The Tobii I-13 and I-16 have serial numbers on the back of the device that begin with TDG13... and TDG16.

If your client does not have a compatible eyegaze device, do they want Tolt's A13J eyegaze device quoted?

Onward, to Mounting...

Now that we know the client's eyegaze device, we'll need to know if they have a Mounting System.

Does your client have a Mount'n Mover, a Rehadapt, a DAESSY, or something else?

This information is important because the mounting hardware and how it connects to the back of the eyegaze device can differ depending on which mount is being used, and we need to know if a Tolt A13J is being quoted.

If your client does not have a mount, we offer two different options: a Mount'n Mover and a Rehadapt Monty.

Common Quoting Scenarios:

Scenario 1: My client has a Permobil F3, a Tobii I-13 eyegaze device, and a Mount'n Mover mount.
What do I need quoted?

Your client has a compatible wheelchair with a compatible eyegaze device mounted; we would quote an ADT.

Scenario 2: My client has a Quantum Stretto, no eyegaze device, and no mounting system.

What do I need quoted?

We would quote an ADT, your choice of a Mount'n Mover (AMJ) or a Rehadapt Monty (RDM), and an A13J.

Scenario 3: My client has a Invacare TDX SP2, a Tobii Pilot eyegaze device, and a Rehadapt mount

What do I need quoted?

We would quote an ADT and an A13J. The Tobii Pilot is not a compatible eyegaze device.

Scenario 4: My client has a Sunrise Quickie and a Accent 1400 eyegaze device, but no mount.

What do I need quoted?

We would quote an ADT and your choice of a Mount'n Mover (AMJ) or a Rehadapt Monty (RDM).

Scenario 5: My client has a Permobil power wheelchair, but I'm not sure about the other components.

What do I need quoted?
Unfortunately, we would not be able to issue a quote. Please follow up with the necessary information.
